Sensible Statistics Consulting
Welcome to sensiblestats.com!
My name is Thomas “Gus” Almonroeder, and I am a physical therapist with a PhD in Kinesiology. I have extensive training in research methods and statistics, and a strong record of scholarly productivity, with over 50 peer-reviewed publications. I have also authored a textbook on applied statistics for healthcare professionals (link to book).
I offer consulting services to meet a wide range of needs related to statistical analysis, manuscript preparation, and more. I’ll work with you so you understand how your data was analyzed and feel confident explaining your findings.
What I Can Help You With
I have experience working with many different data types and performing a wide range of statistical analyses. Here are the types of statistical analyses I can perform for you:
T-tests
Analysis of variance
Correlation analyses
Reliability analyses
Linear regression
Logistic regression
Factor analysis
Non-parametric tests
Meta-analysis
I can also help in the planning stages of a study to determine how many subjects you’ll need (“power analysis”)
My Approach
I’ll start by meeting with you to learn about your project, data set, and specific needs. Then I’ll analyze your data and generate a report that includes a publication-quality write-up explaing your results. Once I’ve created my report, I’ll meet with you again to discuss your results (in layman’s terms). My goal is for you to understand how I analyzed your data and be comfortable sharing your story!
I’ll also help you address comments that come up during the peer-review process related to any of the work I contributed to, at no additional cost.
